Evening menu

From 6.30pm-10pm our new restaurant menu takes over. Extensive trials were done to put this menu together which included many eating trips to English pubs on taste testing missions which resulted in the following:

Starters

Soup of the day
Lamb skewers with cucumber, mint and yoghurt dip and warm pitta bread
Garlic mushrooms on toasted baguette and salad
Battered king prawns with a BBQ dip
Baked camembert with a tomato chutney, salad and toast
Potato skins stuffed with ham, cheese or both with a sour cream dip
Nachos with melted cheese, tomato salsa, sour cream and guacamole
Mozzarella triangles - crispy yet melt in the mouth with salad and salsa
Pâté with redcurrant salsa and toast.

Combos to share:
Nachos - a big plate of nachos with melted cheese, tomato salsa, sour cream and guacamole.
Combo platter - a bit of everything! Lamb skewers, king prawns, garlic mushrooms, potato skins, chicken wings, onion rings and garlic bread.
The big platters are for everyone to share from 2-22!!

Mains

Mixed grill - sausage, gammon, lamb, steak, egg - The Works!
Sirloin steak with a sauce of your choice
Gammon steak with egg or pineapple
Steak and mushroom pie
Chicken tikka masala served with pappadum, rice and naan bread
Chicken, bacon and cheese melt with BBQ sauce
Sizzling beef or chicken fajitas
Sausage, mash and onion gravy
Fish, chips and peas
Grilled salmon steak with parsley sauce and new potatoes
Cottage pie
Grilled lamb steaks with minty gravy

La Grotte offers a full bar service including lagers (bottled and draught) wines, spirits, softies and our infamous shooters (ingredients are a secret family recipe so guaranteed to hit the spot!)

After 10pm the restaurant becomes La Grotte's no-smoking chill out zone. Relax and escape the noise and smoke of the main bar - comfy sofas give you the chance to chat about your day on the piste whilst still watching the live music on the TV.
The restaurant has a full bar service and the all important shooter bottle providing a chance to beat the crush in the main bar.

During the day we have a welcoming log fire so, for those miserable days, come in, relax, play a game from our selection with friends, choose one of our novels to read or watch a movie. We are also a WIFI zone so you can still check your e-mail!
We serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate and the traditional vin chaud to warm your cockles after a cold day on the mountain or to cheer you up after that first ski lesson!
